Northeast Environment Northeast addresses
large-scale environmental problems that threaten regional ecosystems,
human health or the management of regionally significant natural
resources, primarily in a bioregional ecosystem including New England
and eastern Canada.
Camp
Sunshine Nestled alongside the shores of beautiful
Sebago Lake, Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy and hope to
children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families
through various stages of a child’s illness. The year-round
program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite
medical and psychosocial support. Bereavement groups are also offered
for families who have lost a child to an illness.

Fisher House
Supporting America's military in their time of need, Fisher
House is "a home away from home" that enables family members to be
close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during
hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.

Fund
For 25 years, the Fuel Fund has been keeping families safe,
warm,
cool, and their homes well lit by helping them pay their energy bills.
Seniors and people with disabilities existing on fixed incomes.
Families and individuals barely eking out a living earning the minimum
wage. People weathering hardships like job losses or medical
emergencies.
Days End Farm Horse Rescue
Since it’s beginning in 1989, Days End Farm Horse
Rescue,
Inc. has been a place where children and adults have found enrichment,
satisfaction, sadness and purpose through helping to provide care for
unwanted, abused or neglected horses.

MASSACHUSETS
West Ends House - Boys
and Girls Club
An increasing number of children are at home after school and
in
the summer time with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to
know that someone cares about them and that there is a place they can
go that is safe, challenging, and fun! The West End House Boys
&
Girls Club offers that and more. Club programs and services promote and
enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of
competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
Youth Build
YouthBuild is a youth and community development program that
simultaneously addresses core issues facing low-income communities:
housing, education, employment, crime prevention, and leadership
development. In YouthBuild programs, low-income young people ages 16-24
work toward their GED or high school diploma, learn job skills and
serve their communities by building affordable housing, and transform
their own lives and roles in society.
Rosenberg Fund
For Children
The Rosenberg Fund for Children was established to provide for the
educational and emotional needs of children whose parents have suffered
because of their progressive activities and who, therefore, are no
longer able to provide fully for their children. The RFC also provides
grants for the educational and emotional needs of targeted activist
youth. Professionals and institutions are awarded grants to provide
services at no or reduced cost.

Food
Gatherers
Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and address its
causes
in our community by: reducing food waste through the rescue and
distribution of perishable and non perishable food; coordinating with
other hunger relief providers; educating the public about hunger; and
developing new food resources.
Detroit
Historical Society
Since its founding in 1921, the Detroit Historical Society
has
been dedicated to ensuring that the history of the region is preserved
so that current and future generations of Detroiters can better
understand the people, places and events that helped shape our lives.
Michigan Audubon
Society
Michigan Audubon Society (MAS), Michigan's oldest
conservation
organization, was established in 1904 and became a chapter of National
Audubon Society in 1972. MAS has worked through the years to study and
preserve wild birds, plants, animals and their habitats and to
enlighten the public of their importance.
