TREE (Tropical Reforestation & Ecosystems Education) is
dedicated to the conservation of and education about native Hawaiian

West
Hawaii Artificial Reef Foundation
To acquire and environmentally prepare a ship for sinking on the ocean
floor on the coast of West Hawaii. Ships are effective reefs
because they offer complex internal spaces, large amounts of surface
area, high profiles and promote rapid coral growth
• Will
reduce pressure on West Hawaii’s natural coral reef.
• Will
create additional reef habitat for fish and other marine life.
• Will
develop a unique platform for academic and research organizations to
study marine life.
• Will
provide a unique venue to increase the Big Island’s aquatic
tourism industry.
• Will
substantially improve the fish populations as seen in areas where
artificial reefs have been created. (Florida Artificial Reef Summit
’01; Hawaii DLNR Study, 1991 Brian Kanenaka).
• Will
create a new location for fishing.

IDAHO
Idaho
Conservation League
Across the four points of the compass, Wild Idaho has few peers: from
the Selkirks and the great lakes of the north to the Henry's Fork
country in the east; from Hell's Canyon and the Seven Devils in the
west to the Foothills out Boise's backdoor — and further
south to the incredible Owyhee Canyonlands.
And in the middle of it all, a beautiful expanse of muscular,
mountain-rippled Idaho, where rivers roar and wildlife roam as they
have forever.
It is surely among the wildest and most pristine places anywhere on the
planet. But it won't remain that way without a lot of hard work by
concerned people. Like you. Protect this place called Idaho, our home
and land of natural wonders.
The
Peregrine Fund
The Peregrine Fund is a common sense, elbow grease, no frills
organization. We prioritize our work, attempting to tackle only
projects for which we feel we are the most qualified and where a
definite need exists. We always strive to leave a lasting result when
finished. The result may be a healthy population of birds or
environment or skilled people working for an effective organization.

natural history library of more than 250,000 volumes. See SUE. The
largest best preserved, most complete T-Rex Skeleton.
LYRIC Opera of Chicago
The world-renowned Lyric Opera of Chicago performs in one of North
America's most beautiful opera houses, the Civic Opera House, at 20
North Wacker Drive. The opera house was the vision of utility magnate
Samuel Insull (1859-1938), a populist billionaire known as "the Prince
of Electricity." Insull, the president of the Chicago Civic Opera
Association, wanted to erect a new opera house to replace Louis B.
Sullivan's Auditorium Building on South Michigan Avenue as the home of
the Chicago Civic Opera--one that would be democratic in scope, and
would be housed in and supported by a commercial office building. He
mandated five requisites for the new opera house: safety, excellent
sight lines, comfortable seating, gracious surroundings, and premium
acoustics.
